JZ Custom Woodwork has been building Sarasota's finest interior woodwork since 1993. For more than three decades, the area's contractors, custom home builders, and interior designers have brought us the work their reputations ride on — and we've delivered it, on schedule, to a standard most shops can't match.
We're a trade shop, first and last. That means milling in-house instead of outsourcing, so quality control never leaves our hands. It means we'd rather get a profile exactly right than fast and close. And it means we say yes to the hard projects — the historic restoration, the curved staircase, the profile nobody else can match — because that's the work we're proud to put our name on.
From our climate-controlled shop in Sarasota, we serve luxury homes, hotels, and businesses across Southwest Florida. Any species, any profile, any project. If you can draw it, we can build it.
Our Story
JZ Custom Woodwork opened in Sarasota in 1993. What started small has grown, over three decades, into one of the area's go-to shops for the work that has to be done exactly right — the profile nobody else can match, the curved staircase, the historic home, the room a designer has been picturing for months.
Most of that growth came the same way it started: word of mouth. A contractor brings us a tough job, we deliver it on time and on spec, and they bring us the next one. After thirty-some years, that's still the only marketing we've ever really needed.
We're not the biggest shop in Sarasota, and we've never been the cheapest. We're the one you call when it has to be right.
